Marian Matas-Riera


Màrian graduated from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. After a short period in private practice she started an eighteen-month rotating internship in the hospital at the same university. She then moved to England to undertake an ophthalmology internship at the Animal Health Trust that followed with an ophthalmology residency. Màrian then moved to work at the Royal Veterinary College where she is a Lecturer in Ophthalmology. She is a diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Ophthalmology (DipECVO) and, after completing a postgraduate degree in veterinary education, is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). She has recently been appointed as head of the ophthalmology department at the RVC.
