Born in London, John Innes graduated in veterinary science from University of Liverpool in 1991. He spent the first 22 years of his acreer in veteriunary academia, the last 12 Professor of Small Animal Surgery at University of Liverpool where he led the development of a new £10 million hospital and grew the referrals activity to be one of Europe’s largest veterinary hospitals. John has published over 80 peer-reviewed research papers, authored several textbook chapters. He has lectured to vets in Europe, North and Central America, Asia and Australasia. John has a passion for delivering the best, evidence-based care for dogs with musculoskeletal disorders such as arthritis. John joined CVS(UK) Ltd. in July 2013 to the new role of Referrals Director to develop the company’s specialist veterinary services across the UK. CVS is one of the largest veterinary groups in UK with approximately 430 clinics and 1250 veterinarians.
